Her parents were Basil & Elder Emmelia, & her gran was Saint Macrina the Elder. Her brothers were a Cappadocian Fathers, Basil the Great and Saint Gregory of Nyssa. She refused to marry & devoted herself to her religion, becoming the nun. Within 379, Macrina died at her personal's estate on the Flow of any stream Iris, within Pontus, and her brother Gregory composed the "Dialogue on the Soul and Resurrection" (peri psyches kai anastaseos), entitled ta Makrinia (P.G. XLVI, Xii sq.), to commemorate Macrina. Her feast day is the 19th of July. St. Carthage Also known as Mochuda. Irish monk, priest, hermit, founder. He composed a monastic rule in Irish verse.
